Peanut butter is popular in many countries. The United States is a leading exporter of peanut butter and itself consumes $800 million of peanut butter annually.

It is also used in a number of breakfast dishes and desserts, such as peanut-flavored granola, smoothies, crepes, wafers, brownies, or croissants. It is related to other nut butter such as cashew butter and almond butter.
What Is Oatmeal?
Oatmeal is a variety of coarse flour made of hulled oat grains (groats) that have both been milled (ground) or steel-cut, or else it applies to rolled oats.
Ground oats are also called “white oats”. Steel-cut oats are known as “coarse oatmeal”, “Irish oatmeal” or “pinhead oats”.
Rolled oats can be either thick or thin, and possibly categorized as “old-fashioned”, “quick”, or “instant”, depending on the cooking time, which is shortened by the size of the oats, precooking, and sometimes the addition of enzymes.
The season oatmeal is also used in the U.S. and parts of Canada to describe a popular oat porridge made from both grounds, steel-cut, or rolled oats.

- 2 teaspoons aluminum-free baking powder, such as Rumford

Peanut butter oatmeal honey dog treats
1 cup natural peanut butter, crunchy
3 cup quick oats
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup low sodium bouillon powder (beef or chicken)
1/3 cup warm water
- Preheat oven 350 degrees
- Warm the peanut butter in the microwave for about 1 minute, until it is soft enough to mix with the other ingredients.
- Grind 2 cups of the quick oats in a food processor or blender until a coarse flour.
- In a large bowl, thoroughly mix together all the ingredients.
- Drop the dough onto a breadboard sprinkled with flour or more ground quick oats. Work the dough on the board until you can make a ball. Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Use a 3-inch dog bone-shaped cookie cutter to cut the dough into shapes.
- Place the cookies on greased cookie sheets. (The dough is soft and crumbly, so transfer the cut out shapes gently.)
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until the bottoms of the cookies are golden brown. Flip and bake for about 5 minutes more….watch closely so you do not burn as oven temps are different.
- Remove from oven, let cool, and store in an airtight container.
- Tip: For crispier treats, when all cookies have been baked, turn off the oven. Put all the cookies back on a cookie sheet and return them to the oven. Leave them in the cooling oven for several hours or overnight to harden.
